Read article on Rocky Mountain Outlook below:
‘It fills my heart that so many people had life lasting memories of Canmore! After adventuring in so many places around world from the far north to the deep jungle I could survive anything because I had my memories and love of Canmore… My vision was this:
If you can imagine skiing (snow shoeing, walking) through the evening sky on a forested trail and seeing the lite of the candle or fire in the cabin across the river with the back drop of the mountains. You are so tired from your adventure but when you see the light in the cabin window you lite up again and race to get to the cabin where you know you will get warm fill your tummy and talk about your adventure with excitement around the crackle of the fire. By seeing that lite in the cabin window it meant you were going to make it Home!!
So we Canmorite’s opened the door to the cabin let all the adventures and travelers in and warmed them, fed them and listened to their struggles and adventures. Just like a mom or grandmother welcoming you in and dusting of the snow, taking your wet clothes and hanging them up, taking care of everything while just relax and reflect… By doing this we fill their spirit with the strength for their next adventure!
We support them in every way, personal care, laughter, shopping, food, gear, warmth and most of all that we care and treat them all like family. So from here we have given them strength to keep on adventuring (no matter what that adventure is golf, walking, business) And we send them off with the greatest feeling in the world and that is – go forth be strong and have a great adventure but Always, Come Home to Canmore…. Where we will keep the fire burning for you…
Get ready for new adventures in Canmore!‘
